[Pretty Body and Line] Check list before departure: For your medical trip in Korea
1. Check Passport Validity & Visa 🎫
✔️ Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 Months beyond your planned travel dates.
✔️Check if you need a specific medical tourism visa or if you can enter via K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) depending on your nationality.
2. Pre- Consultation (Online)💻
✔️Before flying out, connect with your clinic virtually.
✔️Discuss your treatment goals, expected outcomes, and basic plans with your consultant online to save time upon arrival.
3. Confirm Flight Tickets ✈️
✔️ Once your surgery and consultation dates are tentatively aligned, book your round-trip flights.
👍Tip: We recommend scheduling your consultation and surgery right after arriving or the next day of the arriving in Korea, so you can maximize your time and secure a longer overall recovery period we can provide.
✔️Rather than staying completely still indoors after surgery, taking slow, easy ealks and light sightseeing a few days post-op (once you feel up to it and are cleared) actually helps with recovery and reducing swelling & pain!
4. Finalize Surgery & Recovery Dates 🗓️
✔️ Coordinate closely with your clinic coordinator to lock in your exact operation date and follow-up care schedule.
✔️Ensure you stay longer enough in Korea for necessary stitch removals or primary check-ups before flying back.
5. Pre-Consultation Review 📝
✔️Send over your detailed medical history if the doctor need to aware of, current medications, allergies, and photos of your target area.
✔️ This allows your medical team to plan a safe, customized procedure tailored just for you.
6. Pack Loose- Fitting Clothes & Shoes 🧳
✔️ Bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothes (such as buttom-up shirts or zip-up hoodies) that you don't have to pull over your head.
✔️Choose comfortable slip-on shoes since your feet might swell slightly during flights or recovery.
7. Arrange Payment & Travel Funds 💳
✔️ Inform your credit card company about your international travel to avoid blocked transactions.
✔️Some credit card machine don' work well for international card randomly so make sure raise the card daily expenses as much as you can or prepare USD or Cash as much as you can bring
TIP: You will get discount or get a small service if you pay with cash anywhere in Korea (Clinic, small market) but not in big brand store.
✔️Prepare a mix of international credit cards and some Korean Won for daily expenses
8. Pack Medication You Need to Take💊
✔️ Pack an adequate supply of your regular prescription medications (e.g.for high blood pressure, diabetes, high colesterols, etc.).
✔️ It's also helpful to bring specific personal care items like routine painkillers for periods. Always clear any regular supplements or extra drugs with clinic beforehand.
